Why should I choose Anytime Trailer Hire?

We offer a new way of hiring trailers which is affordable, easy and convenient. You can book a trailer online and pick it up any time during the Hire Period. Our self-service model allows us to offer you best trailer hire rates in Melbourne.

What does Hire Period mean?

Hire Period the the period for which you have booked the trailer. For example, if you have booked a trailer from 10AM on Monday for 2 days, your hire period is 10AM Monday to 10AM Wednesday. You can pick-up and drop-off the trailer anytime within this period.

What does self-service mean?

Self-service trailer hire allows you to hire a trailer when you need it. When you book a trailer with us, you will receive a confirmation, self-service instructions and a unique password combination within 30 minutes of booking (if booking is done between 7am and 10pm). This will offer you the convenience to pick up and drop off the trailer any time during the Hire Period (this is the period for which you have booked the trailer).

How does self-service work?

After booking a trailer, we will send you a link to self-service instructions. The instructions include a short video explaining the trailer pick-up and drop-off process. You will also receive a unique password to unlock the trailer. If you experience difficulty at any stage, you can contact us at the emergency phone number that will be provided to you after booking.

Can I pick up the trailer from an actual person, instead of using self-service?

It is possible to pickup the Trailer from an actual person and pay cash on pickup in our Cranbourne location only. To check availability and arrange pick up time, please contact us via phone or email. We will get back to you as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours after your request.

What if I cannot return the trailer on time or want to extend the hire period?

If you are running late or would like to extend the Hire Period, contact us immediately. We will look at available options to extend. However, we reserve the right to refuse extension requests if the Trailer has already been booked by another customer and we do not have a suitable replacement.

Trailers

Are all trailers in a roadworthy condition?

All our trailers are registered with VicRoads. Our trailers are inspected daily and serviced on a regular basis. We make a great effort to ensure that our trailers are kept in a roadworthy condition at all times. However, if you do notice an issue with a trailer you have hired from us, please notify us immediately.

Where are the Trailers located?

We have self-service trailers in different locations around Melbourne. You can see our location when checking availability and booking a trailer on our website. The exact pick-up address of the trailer will be sent to your mobile phone number after booking. When you choose drop-off and pick-up service, we deliver the trailer to your address and pick it up after hire is completed.

What type of plugs do the Trailers have?

Our trailers have a standard Australian flat 7-pin plug. We also have a round 7 pin adapter available on every trailer . If you have another type of power point in your vehicle, please ensure that you have a suitable adapter.

What should I do if I detect an issue with the trailer?

Our trailers are inspected daily and serviced on a regular basis. However, if you do detect any damage or non-working parts, please contact us immediately before towing the Trailer.

Can I insure the trailer against damage?

Yes, when making the booking you have the option to reduce your liability for damage to the trailer to $700, $300 or $0. Damage Liability Reduction does not apply to damage caused by the Trailer including, damage to the load of the Trailer. Your vehicle insurance cover should also include damage caused by a trailer that is being towed.

Payment

What are the payment options?

When you make a booking with us, you have the option to pay Now or pay Later. You can choose a payment options that suits you best. You can pay via Credit Card, Debit Card, bank transfer, PayPal or Cash (limited locations).

Is it secure to pay online?

You have different online payment options when booking with us. We have partnered with world leading financial institutions to process our online payments. Your payments are processed outside our website in a secure and encrypted space.  None of your payment details will ever be recorded.

Why do I pay a security deposit and do I get it back?

We withhold a small amount as security deposit when you hire a trailer from us. The security deposit is usually refunded within 24 hours after completion of hire. The refund goes into the same account you paid with initially and can take a couple of days to reach your account.
